Where it all began
My Heritage
Being Hindu and following the practice of Ayurveda, I grew up with my mum regularly putting oil in my hair. While the Indian tradition of hair oiling is something I did not always enjoy when I was a teenager, it is something that I now cherish. To me, hair oiling is not just a way of nourishing my hair, it is a large part of my heritage and one of the most sacred above-neck rituals in the Indian culture. Therefore, I decided to put matters into my own hands and researched hair growth supporting natural ingredients to form a hair oil blend which I could use while breastfeeding (or during pregnancy).

Three months post-partum I experienced extreme hair loss and bald patches as well as a receding hairline in my 20s. As this is something I had never imagined, the change in my appearance had a big toll on me, and I constantly felt self-conscious.
This is when Hairssential was born – an organic, vegan, and cruelty-free hair growth treatment. Now that I am a mother of 2, I am fully equipped to prevent pregnancy-related hair loss and focus on me and my family fully.

To get the best and fastest results, use the oil a minimum of 3 days a week and leave it in for at least 2 - 3 hours. If you only apply the oil once a week the minimum leave in time would be at least 5 hours.
Tip: Since the oil does not stain your sheets sleeping with it in your hair is a great option.
1. Directly apply the pipette to the roots of the hair, ensuring that you cover all the targeted areas.
2. Using your fingertips rub both hands together.
3. Massage the scalp with warm hands in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. Then tip your head upside down aiding the flow of blood to the head whilst massaging.
4. Pipette a few drops onto your hand and rub together, then apply this to the ends of your hair.
We recommend using 8 drops a minimum of 3 days a week in order to get the best and fastest results.
While we designed the formula of the hair oil in a way for it to be suitable to be used during pregnancy by researching the ingredients thoroughly and taking into consideration the recommended guidelines on what is safe to use whilst being pregnant, the hair oil includes a total concentration of 1% of essential oils. Due to the incorporation of essential oils, we recommend checking with your doctor prior to using the hair oil, especially whilst pregnant, breast-feeding, or suffering from pre-existing health conditions. The oil should be used consistently for a minimum of 3 months to notice a difference with hair loss. Regarding scalp and condition of the hair this varies per person some people have noticed a difference within 2 weeks of using the hair oil.
The 50ml bottle will last a minimum of 2 to 3 months based on the frequency of use and the amount use. Some people like to use more than 8 drops and lather the hair which is absolutely fine therefore we cannot give exact time frame on how long the oil will last.
We recommend you store the hair oil in a dry and cold place and out of direct sunlight.
